“An Ordinance Banning the Sale, Rental, Transfer, Distribution , Manufacture, and/or Production of Pirated, Counterfeit, or Fake Goods, or Drugs/Medicines and for Other Purposes.”

2. Proposed Provl. Ordinance No. 2023-__

“An Ordinance Providing For the Conservation and Management of The Leyte Sab-A Basin Peatland And All Other Resources Within the Province of Leyte, Defining Its Scope and Coverage and for Other Purposes.”

01.           Presented for consideration is Municipal Ordinance No. 2023-185 of Carigara, Leyte entitled: “AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING THE TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE (275) SQUARE METERS OF LAND IDENTIFIED AS LOT NO. 673 REM. PORTION, COVERED UNDER TAX DECLARATION NO. 08-1104-00101, IN THE NAME OF EUSEBIO CANABE, LOCATED AT BRGY. BARUGOHAY CENTRAL, CARIGARA LEYTE, WITH A TOTAL AREA OF 2,745 SQUARE METERS, FROM AGRICULTURAL TO RESIDENTIAL USE.” Same is recommended by the Provincial Legal Office per 2nd indorsement dated September 26, 2023, THAT the local council follow and adhere to the restrictions and guidelines set forth by DILG opinion no. 22 regarding the reclassification of the lands in question

02.           Presented for consideration is Municipal Ordinance 2023-186 of Carigara, Leyte entitled: “AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING LOT NO. 7088 UNDER TAX DECLARATION NO. 08-110029-00390, IN THE NAME OF LUCIA I. TRANI, LOCATED AT BRGY. LIBO, CARIGARA, LEYTE, WITH AN AREA OF 2,015 SQUARE METERS, FROM AGRICULTURAL TO RESIDENTIAL USE.” Same is recommended by the Provincial Legal Office per 2nd indorsement dated September 26, 2023, THAT the local council follow and adhere to the restrictions and guidelines set forth by DILG opinion no. 22 regarding the reclassification of the lands in question.

03.           Presented for consideration is Municipal Ordinance No. 013 series of 2023 of Pastrana, Leyte entitled: “AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE OPERATION COCKFIGHTING AND IMPOSING FEES AND CHARGES THEREOF AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.” Same is recommended for VALIDITY with CONDITION by the Provincial Legal Office per 2nd indorsement dated September 26, 2023.

04.           Presented for consideration is Municipal Ordinance No. 480-140823 of Palompon, Leyte entitled: “AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING FEES AND CHARGES FOR TRAININGS, SEMINARS, WORKSHOPS, SHORT COURSES AND OTHER RELATED ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED BY PALOMPON, LEYTE TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTER AND ASSESSMENT CENTER INCLUDING THE USE OF ITS BUIDING AND FACILITIES.” Same is recommended for VALIDITY by the Provincial Legal Office per 2nd indorsement dated September 26, 2023.

05.           Presented for consideration is Ordinance No. 23-12 of Inopacan, Leyte entitled: “AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 11-01, ENTITLED, “AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE INOPACAN TOURISM COUNCIL DEFINING ITS COMPOSITION, DUTIES, AND FUNCTIONS’ IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF INOPACAN, PROVINCE OF LEYTE.” Same is recommended for VALIDITY by the Provincial Legal Office per 2nd indorsement dated September 26, 2023.

06.           Presented for consideration is Ordinance No. 2023-04 of Hindang, Leyte entitled: “AN ORDINANCE RECOGNIZING EACH AND EVERY HINDANGANON WHO WILL BECOME TOPNOTCHERS IN THE NATIONAL BOARD EXAMINATION OR BAR EXAMINATION GIVEN BY THE PROFESSIONAL REGULATORY COMMISSION AND THE SUPREME COURT OF THE PHILIPPINES.” Same is recommended by the Provincial Legal Office per 2nd indorsement dated September 26, 2023, THAT a review be made on the subject of where the funds are to be sourced to insure that the same does not run contrary to the mandate of Section 335 chapter 4 of the Code.

07.           Presented for consideration is a REQUEST for ACCREDITATION of CUTA FARMERS MULTIPURPOSE COOPERATIVE (CFMPC) of Brgy. Cuta, Barugo, Leyte with the provincial Government of Leyte as non government organization.

08.           Presented for consideration is a letter dated August 30, 2023 from Allan L. Laniba, OFS, General Manager, LEYECO III, RE: Suspension of Passing-on the Franchise Tax of NGCP to the Electric Consumers.

09.           Presented for consideration is General Fund Supplemental Budget No. 2 CY 2023 of Palompon, Leyte amounting to Php30,523,999.52 under Appropriation Ordinance No. 479-240723. Same is recommended for APPROVAL with CONDITIONS by the Local Finance Committee per review letter dated September 27, 2023, together with Supplemental Annual Investment Program No. 2 CY 2023 of the same amount.
